As an extension of his hip-hop roots, Christopher ‘Play’ Martin of the rap duo Kid 'n Play is hosting BrandNewz, a broadcast and Internet news infotainment venue that focuses on a wide range of topics from education and law to finance and entertainment. The two-minute news briefs presented on BrandNewz.com also appear on the "My RDC" (formerly UPN) network in the Raleigh/Durham, N.C. market and online at www.BrandNewz.com.

The venue's music is produced and arranged by two Grammy award-winning hip-hop producers RockWilder and 9th Wonder. In 2001, RockWilder won a Grammy for a remake of Labelle's "Lady Marmalade" with Christina Aguilera, Lil' Kim, Mýa and Pink for the film Moulin Rouge. He also contributed to some of the music beds with 9th Wonder, who has produced for Jay-Z, Mary J. Blige and Erykah Badu.

BrandNewz will feature "4 the Kid 'N' U," a weekly dose of social consciousness through the comic strip renderings of cartoonists, and "The BNZ Music Box" that features comedians and past, present and future inspirational R&B classics to uplift your day.

Martin said, "I am very humbled and honored to be a part of a project with producers like 9th and Rock as well as the other upcoming talents that contribute to the success of Brand Newz for positive changes and works that are not only going on in the hip-hop community, but all across the globe."

BrandNewz is a 24-hour “new newz network” produced by Hp4 Digital Works & Solutions production company which provides service for digital motion picture projects. The BrandNewz blueprint was implemented and developed to showcase talented individuals who might otherwise be overlooked.
