Sean Levert Dies in Jail at 39

Legendary R&B singer Eddie Levert is mourning the loss of his son Sean who died of natural causes just before midnight last night. The 39-year-old was pronounced dead at the Lutheran Hospital after being rushed there from Cleveland's Cuyahoga County Jail.  Levert was being held on charges that he didn’t pay $80,000 in child support.





"Hogan's Heroes" Actor Ivan Dixon Dies at 76

Actor, director and producer Ivan Dixon, known for his role as Staff Sergeant James Kinchloe on the 60's TV series, Hogan's Heroes," has died at the age of 76.  Dixon passed away at a hospital in Charlotte, N.C. on March 16 after suffering a hemorrhage from kidney failure complications.



Veteran Actor Robert DoQui Dead at 74

Veteran stage, film and television actor Robert DoQui died peacefully in his sleep February 9th, 2008 at his home in Los Angeles . He was 74 years old. Born in 1934 in Stillwater , Oklahoma . DoQui attended Langston University on a music scholarship and was a member of the popular singing group the Langstonaires. Prior to his successful career in show business, DoQui served his country, as an Airman, for 4 years in the United States Air Force.  He served as a Screen Actors Guild Board Member for ten years.



Documentary Filmmaker St. Clair Bourne Dead at 64

Reknowned documentary filmmaker St. Clair Bourne died early Saturday morning (Dec. 15) in a New York hospital after an operation to remove a brain tumor. He was 64.  According to his sister Judith, St. Clair made it through surgery without complication only to be attacked in the aftermath by a blood clot in his lung. Bourne was a veteran producer, director and writer of documentaries for HBO, PBS, NBC, Sundance Channel, BBC, National Geographic.




Ike Turner Dead at 76

Ike Turner, legendary rock & roll pioneer, musician and songwriter, who was most famously half of the R&B duo Ike and Tina Turner, died this morning at the age of 76 in his home in San Marcos, CA, near San Diego.
