has given an eight-episode order to a "celebreality" series starring
actor Eddie Griffin ("Undercover Brother," "Norbit"), tentatively
titled "Eddie Griffin Going for Broke."
Damon Wayans Has 'Never' been 'Better'

Wayans is headed back to the alphabet network as he is set to star in
"Never Better," a comedy pilot for ABC. The single-camera vehicle had
been given a cast-contingency order from ABC. Wayans' signing
lifts the cast contingency on the project.

Don Cornelius, creator of "Soul Train," the venerable
urban dance TV show told Reuters that he has teamed up with Warner
Bros.
Pictures to develop a buddy comedy that he hopes will spawn multiple
sequels. The project, currently called "Soul Train: The Movie,"
revolves
around two male dancers on the show who get into "a lot of good stuff
and some bad stuff as well," said Cornelius, who will serve as a
producer.

New York's AMERICAN MASTERS will explores the indeomitable spirit of
Zra Neal Hurston in "Jump at the Sun," premiering Wednesday, Apri 9 on
PBS. The film includes rare archival footage from Hurston's own
collection, and features interviews with Alice Walker, Dorothy West,
Henry Louis Gates, Jr., Maya Angelou and others.
