Fox Taps Ron Taylor For Programming Diversity

Veteran television executive Ron Taylor has been named VP of Diverse Programming and Content at FOX Broadcasting. Taylor will be tasked with strengthening the focus on diversity across the network’s programming and development slate. He'll be charged with "developing scripts that feature diverse themes or are written by diverse writers, and will provide input on other Fox scripted projects," the network said.

BET Networks Names New Programming Chiefs; Loretha Jones Named President of Programming and Stephen Hill Promoted to President of Programming

BET Networks has announced two new leadership appointments to its Programming team, with Loretha Jones named President of Programming and Stephen Hill promoted to President of Programming. Both Jones and Hill will report directly to Debra L. Lee, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, BET Networks. Hill will continue to be based in New York, while Jones will be based in Los Angeles, and both appointments will take effect immediately.



Reginald Hudlin exits BET

After three years as president of entertainment at Black Entertainment Television (BET), the network announced yesterday that Reginald Hudlin is stepping down.  No reason was given for his departure although Hudlin plans to return to his entrepreneurial roots.  "I knew that I would return to the creative arena at some point. There have always been a lot of opportunities shooting my way," he said.
