Terence Carter has been promoted to Vice President, Drama Programming,
NBC Entertainment. He will report to Katie O'Connell, Senior
Vice President, Drama Programming, NBC Entertainment, who made the announcement.

MTV president Christina Norman is stepping down from her post after
17 years at the company. In an internal MTV e-mail distributed Thursday
to MTV employees letting them know of Norman's decision, Van Toffler,
president of MTV Networks Music and Logo Group said Norman wanted "to
take time to explore something new" and
lauded her 17 year-career with MTV Networks.
Cameron Bailey Appointed Co-Director of Toronto Intl Film Festival

Cameron Bailey has been promoted to Co-Director of the
Toronto International Film Festival. Effective January 1, 2008, Bailey assumed
responsibility for the overall programming and operations of the
September event, along with Co-Director Piers Handling. Artistic director Noah Cowan will mentor Bailey through his first year.
Jay-Z to Step Down from Top Def Jam Post

Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter
said today he will leave his post as president of Universal Music
Group's Def Jam Records label after his contract expires Dec. 31. The
rapper said he will continue to release his own music under the Roc-A-Fella label he
founded in 1995, which is now wholly owned by Def Jam.
