Turner Broadband Entertainment (TBE) is looking for comedy talent – writers, directors, producers, actors, comedians, animators, et al – for a new broadband based network in development.
TBE is not just looking for “run-of-the-mill” comedy, however. They’re looking for serial comedy show concepts with an independent and provocatively intelligent attitude. Comedy show concepts laced with anti-authority, anti- establishment, off-beat, and counterculture undertones are especially welcomed. The content can include mature language and situations for audiences 18 years and over.
More specifically, TBE is looking for web- based comedy show concepts (scripted, live action or animated) that are 1.5 minutes to 5 minutes maximum per webisode. The shows could be on topics like sports, politics, current events, sex and relationships, news, pop culture and entertainment, or stand up comedy to name a few.
The deadline for submissions is May 31, 2006. Visit www.urbanmediamakers.com for the details on submitting your concept.
